This is Wearable Artwork and I’m Obsessed

I stumbled upon Millie and Lou earlier this year at Ossfest, a street festival in downtown Toronto. I was running back to our condo to get change for a cash-only souvlaki stand (haha), and a button up top adorned with what looked like a free hand sketch of a female figure caught my eye. In the wake of my near starvation I snapped a quick photo of the tag, and set a mental reminder to check out “Millie and Lou” out on Instagram.

I recently went back through my photos from that day and found the shot with the above label’s tag and looked it up. Holy moly, I want it all.

With a focus on re-working expertly curated vintage pieces in addition to their line of original designs, Millie and Lou Atelier creates effortless clothing that is both strikingly unique yet easy enough to incorporate into your everyday wardrobe. With the option to customize a selection of their vintage pieces with one of their screen printed designs (some created by artists from around the world!), it’s just a step below having your own completely custom made piece of clothing. Price wise, their pieces are totally accessible – for example, a textured linen short sleeve top is listed at $48 as is, or $62 with a print.

Check out a few of my favourite pieces below.[/vc_column_text]
